A timer you can read from across the room.

I’m easily distracted, and most timer apps make it worse: presets to choose between, settings, an account. I wanted one where setting the time takes two seconds and nothing else asks for attention. I now use it in meetings too, on a shared screen, to keep a conversation or a task on track.

The Pomodoro method is one instruction: work for a fixed stretch, then stop. So the timer is one instruction too. Set the minutes, press start, and the screen is just the count, one black shape moving behind it, and a close button.

Every session rolls its own shape and its own path across the screen, so no two look quite the same. Where the shape passes under the count the digits invert, splitting on its edge rather than switching all at once, so the time stays readable whatever is behind it.
